The Grade Threes started off their outing by clambering aboard the boats at the Maritime Museum. Then, at uShaka Marine World, they experienced an informative guided tour through the salt water aquarium, with indoor and outdoor displays and exhibits, in and around the re-creation of a wreck of a 1940’s cargo ship. Sharks, sea stars, devil fire fish and stone fish occupy this area as well as many other fascinating creatures of the deep. At the dolphin stadium they were entertained by the antics of world-famous dolphins. They all paid a visit to the penguin rookery containing a breeding colony of endangered African penguins. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational excursion.
